Job Description
Responsibilities:
1.Public Affairs Risk Prevention and Control
Monitor changes in the political and regulatory environment in Europe (including trade policy, data regulation, environmental legislation, etc.), anticipate their potential impact on business operations, and coordinate internal resources to develop risk mitigation and interest protection strategies.
2.European Stakeholder Relationship Management
Liaise with EU institutions, government authorities across European countries, industry associations, and think tanks to establish and maintain regular communication mechanisms. Track and influence legislative and policy agendas relevant to clients’ businesses, and convey corporate positions and industry perspectives.
3.Business Enablement and Public Affairs Support
Provide public affairs consulting and policy interpretation to business departments. Conduct public affairs due diligence and scenario planning for mergers and acquisitions, investments, and business expansion. Assist in formulating and implementing public affairs and stakeholder engagement strategies for the European market to support the achievement of long-term business objectives.

Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree or above in Public Policy, International Relations, Political Science, Communication Studies, or related fields; practical background in European public affairs is preferred.
2. At least 2 years of experience in European public affairs/government affairs at multinational corporations, international organizations, or consulting firms, with familiarity with policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement processes in the EU and major member states.
3. Excellent cross-cultural communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with government and industry bodies at all levels in Europe and produce professional public affairs briefings and position papers.
4. Deep understanding of the European political ecosystem and policy-making processes, with the ability to accurately identify key stakeholders, develop differentiated communication strategies, and effectively distill and convey complex information.
5. English as a working language; proficiency in other European languages such as French, German, or Spanish is a plus. Experience living or working in Europe is highly desirable.
