Job Description

.

As the most objective and neutral body, European Senior Project Manager is a key role to manage the processes related to project portfolio optimization / complexity management, taking demand and supply inputs into account. The European Senior Project Manager leads major growth or cost structure projects or programs and leads change / new approaches according to the agreed business targets. The role is responsible for Pet Nutrition Europe and based in Verden, Germany.
 
What would be your key responsibilities? 

  • Continuously improves processes and tools related to efficiency and optimization
  • Facilitates decision making, ensures transparency of decision protocols, outlines consequences and implications and ensures efficient communication flows
  • Accountable for project pipeline tracking and status updates
  • Provides the master plan overview of all projects and their interdependencies, including timeframes and key milestones and ensures alignment with local, regional & global processes
  • Drives adherence and flags deviation vs Segment Strategy, agreed thresholds and principles 
  • Builds scorecards and KPI‘s and owns their tracking
  • Owner and guardian of the QES/QuEST Stage & Gate process
  • Leads cross-functional teams and motivates them to deliver the activities in high quality, as per agreed business targets
  • Exploits business benefits, risks, opportunities and gaps, outlines implications and provides recommendations
  • Leads post project reviews for the own activities, shares main learnings with the regional teams and transfers learnings across the project managers and other relevant teams
  • Strongly collaborates within the European Project Managers team across all segments to drive common purpose, generate synergy and complement on skills

 
What are we looking for?

  • University degree and min. 5 years of experience
  • Functional experience in Project-, Program- or Portfolio-Management
  • Further experience in another function is beneficial
  • Sound business understanding 
  • Structured ways of working and ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity
  • Interest & experience in digital solutions is beneficial
  • Fluent in English, other languages beneficial
