Job Description

This position supports the EU IG Supply Chain team and ensures accurate and timely two-way communications exist between the Air Products client system and the remote field device. This position is responsible for end-to-end performance of the telemetry equipment in Europe.  This is accomplished through the installations of new telemetry equipment as well equipment repairs. It also includes the management of faulty telemetries, through a list of telemetry faults, some of which are created based on a detection of faults, and others of which are created based on requests from the customers or other groups.

• Fault management can include contact with the logistics teams to resolve power and phone issues, 3rd party hardware, software and communications providers, internal requests for field technician repair resources, and provision of support and advise to field repair technicians.

• Resolution also requires complete, accurate, and readable documentation of issues in the trouble ticket system. The incumbent provides a number of administrative support services, such as, updating customer information in the DOLV3 system, creating and maintaining group work instructions, and executing small projects.

• Create and enter all the necessary administrative and technical information required to successfully connect tank telemetry devices to the Air Products DOLV3 system, and to monitor, detect, respond and resolve operating performance issues with asset monitoring equipment connected to DOLV3.

• Ensure that new telemetry equipment installations as well as telemetry equipment repairs for existing installs are planned in accordance to the team availability and performed in compliance with all safety policies and practices. Deal with any urgent / unplanned requests as well as possible.

• Accountable for preventing telemetry-related customer product interruptions.  This also includes detailed investigation of root causes of product interruptions that would occur.

• Deal with all incoming emails in the team mailboxes in a timely manner.

• Run daily reports to pick up on possible telemetry faults and ensure a fault is created for every faulty telemetry, assigned to the correct team and resolved as quickly as possible and at the least possible cost by reducing overall time-to-resolve. Maintain and update the fault log with the feedback received from the different faults.  Send out weekly reports on the open faults.

• Identifying and resolving repeat systemic issues at the customer level.

• Creation of PM06/PM01 projects for new installations.

• Manage the yearly VMI budget and deal with any requests for additional VMI installations.

• Organize telemetry training for new employees (CSR / Scheduling).

• Performing these tasks in a manner that is client and customer oriented, and that reflects positively on telemetry operations and Air Products.

Qualifications:

•Must have technical bachelor higher diploma (Spain: FP2) and technical mindset.
•Ability to provide know how to solve technical problems and provide technical solutions for technicians
•Knowledge of basic electricity and sensor technology is preferable but not a must
•Strong problem solving skills, data analysis and manipulation skills.
•Proficient in multiple PC based applications in a Windows environment.
•Experience in working in office environments.
•Ability to work in a structured and methodic way. High attention to detail.
•Good communication skills at all levels in documentation, e-mails, telephone & meetings (internal and external)
•Able to work independently and unsupervised.
•High level of English and Spanish and at least one other EU language (French or German)
