This role is responsible for the management and execution of conferences and summits within China.

The role is relevant for an individual with the following skills and qualifications

Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years conference and/or event production experience; a self-starter who has the experience of handling event operations and logistics from start to end independently
  • Strong telephone and interpersonal skills, this role will be required to work with the regional offices in TR, as well as some regional customers
  • Good written and spoken Chinese and English, other Asian languages advantageous.
  • Commercial acumen would be beneficial, some experience dealing with clients preferred
  • Outgoing and a team player, someone who enjoys working closely with team mates in the various offices and interacting with customers.
  • Knowledge of the legal industry would be advantageous
  • Someone with an open mind to pick up commercial acumen, ability to navigate in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Educated to degree level or higher

Overall responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day activities of events assigned to you
  • Ability to demonstrate strong operational capabilities and multi-task various projects, co-ordinate and work closely with internal teams and external customers to bring the events to fruition
  • Ability to prioritize and strong time management
  • Ability to conduct strong desktop research, phone research and build a programme agenda from scratch.
  • Ability to work with internal teams, a strong collaborator
  • Ability to handle the operations and logistics of an event from start to end independently
  • Ability to manage suppliers and vendors, including negotiating for the best quotations and deals on behalf of the team
  • Be part of the excellent customer experience team by delivering clear communication, frequent interaction with stakeholders and provide strong onsite customer service face to face
  • Event marketing experience advantageous – these are activities that promote the event to achieve commercial success and event attendance, including and not limited to, organising eDMs, building event microsite, liaising with sponsors, partnerships with associations, etc.
  • Onsite logistics – responsible for onsite operations for events assigned to you.
