Events Management, Operations Manager

What you will do

Let’s do this. In this vital role you will deliver meetings and events management across Europe. Supporting the existing and implementation of a new meeting management processes working with the responsible Amgen employees and agencies, including coordination, triaging, agency support, meeting close out and registration support. You will adhere to the continuous improvement agenda of the ACCP.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordination with executive assistants, responsible Amgen employees and agencies for efficient meeting and events management
  • Managing ACCP activities aligned through the event mgmt. software
  • Being the point of contact and escalation for ACCP meeting management
  • Building working relationship with key external agencies and third parties for meeting management
  • Supporting the continuous improvement agenda
  • Monitoring ACCP service levels and satisfaction to ensure that outputs meet the agreed expectations.
  • 2-8 direct reports.
  • Adapt, support and contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of the department and ACCP.

What we expect of you

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Business Management.
  • Minimum 4-6 years directly related experience with a successful track record in diary management and meetings and administration support.
  • Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication.
  • Strategic Decision Making & Planning - Manages planning for a team and serves as a decision maker / point of escalation for the Diary Management and administration team.
  • Meeting Management experience- Detailed knowledge and experience within supporting and managing meetings in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Team Management - Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with team (composure, conflict management, customer focus, negotiating); Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and build effective teams that generate effective solutions to complex problems.
  • Customer Focus - Dedicated to meeting the expectation and requirements of internal and external customers and maintain effective relationships.
  • Problem Solving - Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making capabilities combined with continuous improvement.
  • Result Orientated - Can be counted on to exceed goals and is a consistent top performer.
  • Time Management - Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritizing in a logical manner.
  • Presentation Skills - Effective in a variety of presentation settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, and superiors.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Project management skills and experience
  • Prior experience in Operations handling
  • Experience in using event management software (e.g. CVENT)
  • Working with policies, procedures and SOP’s
