There is a rare and exciting opportunity for aspiring events management professional join our Sales & Marketing team as Events and Marketing Coordinator on a full-time basis.
Reporting to our Director of Sales & Marketing, the successful candidate will facilitate all aspects in the sale and coordination of conference and events at the hotel, including the preparation of proposals, contracts, banquet events orders, execution of site inspections and appropriate after function follow up whilst supporting the sales and marketing team with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department.

In this role you will:
- Prepare conference proposals and contracts, covering venue, function, menu and accommodation costs.
- Coordinate the entire cycle of conference and events from enquiry to post-event follow-up ensuring client satisfaction.
- Co-ordinate and host familiarisation and site inspection activity including follow-up in conjunction with sales team.
- Achieve budget targets relative to the conference and events department.
- Assist in the telemarketing for new clients and define their potential to the business.
- Co-ordination and production of conference collateral material, i.e., conference kits, direct mail pieces, etc. in liaison with the Digital Marketing Manager.
- Assist the Digital Marketing Manager with management of the hotel digital footprint and online presence.
- Lead weekly Banquets Event Order meetings and co-ordinate between conferencing and other relevant departments to ensure that preparations for conferences have been made.
What we are looking for?
- Experience in event management roles within a dynamic and busy environment
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in event management
- A creative flair and a natural ability to generate ideas to engage our guests
- Be comfortable designing collateral
- The ability to work within a team and build report with all departments in the business
- Highly organised self-starter with the ability to effectively manage priorities
- Projects a professional image through presentation and interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to think on their feet and problem solve
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English on a business level; additional languages are a plus
- A high standard of grooming and presentation
