Events Operations Supervisor 

Accor has a committed team of Hospitality Professionals dedicated to providing excellent service. Novotel Sydney International Airport are currently looking for an Events Operations Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage team. Reporting directly to the Restaurant and Bar Manager, you will be responsible for supervising all aspects of banquets operations

Novotel Sydney International Airport is a 271 room hotel, including a 150 seater a la carte and buffet restaurant, Bar & 11 Conference rooms. We are located along the Cooks River, near the International airport. 

This 'hands on' position includes guest liaison, supervision of employees, preparation of accounts and managing equipment with an operational emphasis on Conferencing and Events. You will also undertake a number of other duties including:

• Coordinating and overseeing the daily conference and banquets operations.
• Supervise and support employees to ensure a consistent, high level of service for all customer contact.
• Work closely and communicate effectively with all departments particularly the Kitchen and Conference Sales to ensure smooth transitions from sales to operations.
• Provide food and drinks service to customers, maximising every opportunity to increase sales
• Follow up on queries/concerns received from clients relating to servicing of functions
• Assist the Restaurant and Bar Manager in the follow up of all guest comments, requests and complaints.
• Lead and motivate your team.
• Communicating with staff to ensure all function rooms are set up as per the Banquet Event Order.
• Implementing cost controls to monitor stock and wage costs.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in running a variety of functions, including conferences, meetings and banquets, and demonstrate a genuine passion for Conferencing & Events.
