The Opportunity:
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Events Specialist to join the events team under CEO Office on a 12month fixed term contract.
You will help plan, execute and deliver on internal and external events for the CEO Office team and wider business at AIA.
About the Role:
- Plan, manage, organise and deliver events of all sizes for a range of audiences including advisers, distribution partners, employees and the wider community. This includes but is not limited to product roadshows, conferences, speaker series, gala dinners, and hosted sporting events.
- Build effective relationships with other business units to champion both internal and external communications requirements.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver partner programmes required including the analysis of business reporting.
- Be competent in using and creating event planning processes and templates, including run sheets, budgets, event briefs and communication plans.
- Develop any presentations and related materials required by stakeholders for an event.
- Ensure events encourage engagement and supports the organisation’s overall business strategies.
- Contribute to a cooperative team.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties assigned by your Manager in order to meet other requirements.
About you:
- 3+ years’ experience working in events.
- Relevant qualification in event, communications, marketing or business.
- Creative and an out of the box thinker.
- Intermediate MS Office skills including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Able to write clearly and succinctly, in a variety of communication styles and deliver messages that have the desired effect.
- Excellent organisation, project management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to interpret broad and complex sources of information and translate into simple and interesting content.
- Work in a challenging environment/industry with the ability to work autonomously and manage elements of ambiguity.
- Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
