Key Responsibilities
South Island School seeks to appoint an exceptional administrator as Examinations and Data Manager. Your role will entail managing all administration for internal and external examinations. This includes managing documentation, examination fees, registration, timetabling, storage of examination materials, examination delivery, certification and communication with all stakeholders – as well as managing the team of examination invigilators. In addition the post holder will be required to work closely with the school Data Team in compiling exam data analysis for staff and students.
The successful applicant will be a highly skilled and experienced administrator, with exceptional attention to detail. You are likely to be an experienced manager, and must have the ability to manage and direct a team to ensure that all examination rules are precisely and meticulously followed.
Previous experience of administering (I)GCSE and IBDP examinations would be a definite advantage, although this is by no means essential.
The Role
The Examinations and Data Manaer is expected to be efficient, committed and flexible. Regular duties include responsibility for:
- Effective administration and running of all internal exams, external exams (currently IB and IGCSE) and other standardised tests;
- Managing entrance examinations and private candidate examinations - including organizing invigilation, billing parents and associated administration;
- All exam communications and correspondence with stakeholders – students, parents, staff, and the examination boards;
- The production of all examination timetables;
- Managing examination facilities and overseeing invigilation procedures;
- Overseeing administration of internally assessed components, ensuring exam board requirements are met, managing and storing examination materials in strict accordance with the relevant rules;
- Ensuring effective financial management of all examination procedures;
- Ensuring effective distribution of results;
- Analysing exam data (internal and external) to spot trends and for the production of reports for all client groups;
- Any other responsibilities or duties which fall within the scope of the role.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma
- At least 3 years experience in a relevant administrative field
- Previous experience managing examinations or working within education would be an advantage
