Exec Manager, Appl Development, Architect/CTO – Middle Office

 

Middle Office Engineering team is looking for a senior lead architect and CTO who will be responsible for leading engineering efforts in building the best in class Middle Office platform to position BNY Mellon as the leading provider of outsourced MO Operations Services and to drive revenue growth. In this role the CTO will be responsible for growing the team, driving the engineering vision, defining the technology strategy for future Cloud adoption, helping with scaling of the products development while focusing on security, data compliance and the core architecture. Together with other senior engineers the CTO will empower the team to build solutions that emphasize quality, scalability and reliability.

 

Responsibilities will also include:

• Managing multiple, complex development projects, often global in scope.
• Managing relationships with business partners in defining, developing, and implementing technology solutions that have impact on improving the business.
• Managing relationships with or interact with external governing bodies such as regulators.
• Overseeing the development and implementation of multiple application systems.
• Providing subject matter expertise to teams, as needed.
• Leading identification of risks and proposing and implementing mitigation plans.
• Handling escalations.
• Acting as an advocate for change management, encourages innovation and creativity in technology solutions.

Advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required 15 + years of experience in systems analysis and program development with related supervisory, management and administrative experience required, at least 6-8 years of experience managing development project teams, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
