Job Description
(a) have a Bachelor’s or higher degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent;
(b) have at least 3 years’ post-degree full-time work experience in executive/management/administrative duties/promotion and publicity, preferably in Government or public bodies [See Note (1)] ;
(c) be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, have Level 3 or above in English Language and Chinese Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (2)];
(d) have good communication and interpersonal skills;
(e) have knowledge of computer software applications including MS Word (English and Chinese), Powerpoint and Excel; and
(f) be able to work independently and under pressure.

Note:
(1) Candidates should state in detail their work experience in the application form.
(2) For non-civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.

Duties:
Successful candidates will be deployed to teams/offices of the Labour and Welfare Bureau to undertake the following duties –
(a) to provide secretariat and administrative support to committees and working groups, including liaison and coordination with other Government Bureaux/ Departments, public bodies, non-governmental organisations and stakeholders;
(b) to provide general administration and management work such as resources management, systems and records management, collection and analysis of statistical information, compilation of reports, etc.;
(c) to assist in scheme management and project work such as project planning, organising publicity and promotional activities, processing funding applications, monitoring funded projects, handling public complaints and enquiries, etc.; and
(d) to perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.

Terms of Appointment:
The successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for 12 months. The appointee is expected to assume duty in the fourth quarter of 2019. The successful candidate may be required to work overtime and irregular hours, on shift and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays and perform outdoor duties.
Fringe Benefits
In addition to general holidays, maternity/paternity leave and sickness allowance, 14 days’ paid annual leave will be granted under a continuous contract of employment for every 12 months. An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. This gratuity, if granted, plus the Government’s contributions to the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
