The successful candidate will be responsible to assist in carrying out the following duties:
1. Provide administrative and technical support to manager(s) and supervisor(s) relating to Facility Management, Building Projects and/or Domestic Services.
2. Provide secretarial support to committees and coordinate meetings, prepare discussion papers, reports and presentation materials.
3. Coordinate and monitor outsourced consultants and/or contractors to ensure quality services.
4. Assist in the supervision and monitoring of building projects undertaking by various works agents to the hospital.
5. Supervise junior staff, and to handle staff issues including staff discipline, performance monitoring, staff briefing and training.
6. Liaise with internal departments and external parties.
7. Assist in maintaining construction site safety and occupational safety and health issues.
8. Prepare reports for hospital management.
9. Prepare memo and document for daily operation.
10. Perform any other duties as assigned by manager(s) and supervisor(s).
Entry Requirements:
1. University Graduates with relevant working experience; OR
2. Has obtained a diploma in a specialized function with relevant working experience and completed F.5/ S.5 with:
(a) 5 subjects passed in HKCEE including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language, or equivalent; OR
(b) 5 subjects in HKDSE attaining the level specified below:
(i) Level 2 in English Language and Chinese Language, and
(ii) Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category)/ Grade E in Other Language subjects
Preferred Attributes:
1. Degree/Higher Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering/ Building Services Engineering/ Facility Management is preferred.
2. 1 years working experience in Project Management, Building Services, Mechanical, Facilities Management or Property Management is an advantage.
3. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
4. Knowledge in the application of common computer software including AutoCAD, Microsoft Office etc.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Pleasant and mature personality, interested to work in hospital environment.
7. Able to work independently.
8. Familiar with Experience in drafting work instructions and procedures.
Remarks:
For Serving HA Staff
1. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 1-2 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. The offer of salary for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package / employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies.
For External Applicants
2. Appointment will be on contract terms for 1-2 years. 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon satisfactory completion of contract.
3. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA.
