| The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers 22 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2019/20, twelve programmes are in the Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $41,700 to $72,800 per year. | Major Duties: |
| (a) | To assist in the preparation of management reports, financial analysis and financial statements; |
| (b) | To perform proper checking and control on the accounting transactions; |
| (c) | To draft official correspondence, including emails, letters and notices; |
| (d) | To assist in the compilation of financial statements and management reports; |
| (e) | To supervise the work of Executive Assistants (or equivalent), and to monitor their performance; |
| (f) | To handle enquiries; and |
| (g) | To perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned. |
| |
| Requirements: |
| (a) | (i) | 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E/ Level 2 or above including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR |
| | (ii) | A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects, and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR |
| | (iii) | A recognized Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin; AND |
| | (iv) | At least 6 years’ work experience in accounting; |
| * | Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification. |
| (b) | Candidates with a recognized degree or equivalent and at least 3 years’ relevant experience will also be considered; |
| (c) | A high proficiency in the use of computer software applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing, with hands-on experience in Oracle Financial System a definite advantage; |
| (d) | Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; and |
| (e) | Ability to work independently and well-organized. |

| Notes: |
| (1) | Candidates may be appointed on temporary terms of employment. |
| (2) | Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a Computer Skills Test (CST) including document formatting, English and Chinese typing, and use of spreadsheet. |
| (3) | The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. |
| (4) | The appointee will work on Chai Wan campus. |
