The Sales Operations and Compete Teams are looking for a seasoned Administrator to support the General Manager of Sales Operations and the Senior Director of Compete. This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to provide a variety of complex organizational, project, and administrative services. This position has frequent contact with all levels of Microsoft employees.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate must be positive, proactive, very detail oriented and driven to succeed. He/she will have excellent interpersonal, organizational and planning skills, time management, and effective written/verbal skills. He/she will demonstrate drive and initiative, the ability to adapt to changing circumstances (direction and strategy) while continuing to have professional and positive interactions. It is very important that this person is able to solve routine problems effectively and prioritize own work and resources to complete projects on time as required. We want someone who has the ability to work successfully in a team environment, build effective working relationships inside and outside group, accommodate working styles and perspectives of diverse individuals.
Responsbilities:
- Proactively manage GM and Directors’ complex calendar with utmost attention to accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate staff meetings, All Hands, events and offsites, including agenda management, meeting logistics, and material preparation.
- Work closely with Business Manager to implement Rhythm of the Business (ROB) processes to support regular and recurring business reviews, key milestones and other business priorities
- Manage and maintain team aliases to support efficient and appropriate internal communication.
- Manage department headcount information and review process including maintaining and publishing organizational chart and contact lists, and processing personnel status changes and employee requisitions leveraging relevant headcount management tools, such as HeadTrax and MSS
- Space management and other ad hoc projects
- Procurement of goods and services including hardware, supplies, etc.
- Coordinate extensive domestic and international travel
- Manage budget including contracts, PO’s, and invoices; process expense reports
- Manage department headcount, space and maintain org charts
Qualifications
- Qualifications should include a minimum of 4 years of demonstrated work experience in a fast-paced executive administrative capacity.
- Must have a high level of integrity;
- Desire to take on big challenges and the ability to see the big picture as well as the details;
- Be extremely resourceful and use good judgment in resolving issues;
- Maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive material with tact and professionalism; Ability to work effectively under pressure, within short time constraints, and act with appropriate urgency;
- Must be proactive and able to deal with ambiguity, as well as work independently to achieve results with a high degree of accuracy;
- Consistently demonstrate a "can-do" attitude; Excellent organizational, analytical, anticipatory, and communications skills;
- Show a willingness to assist other team members as appropriate; Solid project-management and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Windows is required. BA/BS degree preferred.
