The opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced, adaptable and hands-on Executive Chef to lead and motivate our culinary team. Responsible for managing suppliers and costs and establishing cooking standards within the kitchen, you will also be working to develop fresh, new and memorable dining experiences for guests across our restaurant and bar, private dining spaces, provedore and our impressive 1,500 pax Convention Centre.

 

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in an Executive Chef role
• Convention centre + multi-outlet management experience in a large scale premium environment essential
• Fully responsible for rostering and cost management, including menu costing, COGs, labour, wastage, and other productivity and profitability related aspects across multiple venues
• Drive innovation in new outlet, product and menu development
• Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in performance against budget without compromising food quality, presentation or the overall dining experience
• Coach the culinary team to ensure the delivery of best value quality service, effective forward planning, meeting of objectives, management of priorities and the appropriate delegation of responsibilities
• Drive a culture of open communication at all levels to create an environment where employees are engaged in business objectives and activities.
