Job Description
Position Description: Reporting to the CMO, the Head of Global Commercial Marketing will be a key contributor alongside the Commercial Business Unit leadership team.  The Head of Marketing will have the opportunity to help lead Lenovo through aggressive and expansive growth goals. The Head of Marketing will be responsible for evolving the Commercial marketing organization with a focus on delivering long-term profitable growth through developing and executing a strategic marketing vision.  S/he will lead the company’s strategy focused on deep insight, brand marketing, online lead generation and acquisition, traditional and online advertising, product marketing, and communications.  The successful candidate must be strategic, results-driven, and comfortable with both the analytical and creative sides of acquisition and account-based marketing. The Person • Organizational Development: Demonstrated ability to drive organizational improvement through individual skill development along with targeted process enhancements; ability to lead (and build) a team and drive change within organization. • Problem Solving: Asks good questions and probes all potential sources for answers; able to evaluate all sides of an issue and independently develop creative solutions to difficult problems; looks beyond obvious surface solutions and does not stop at first answer. • Communication Skills: Excellent writing and speaking skills; can articulate information clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings (informal and formal). • Business Acumen: Extensive business knowledge and understanding of the Company’s competitive position and how its strategies work within the marketplace. • Judgment: Makes good decisions in a timely manner based on analysis, measurement of results and experience; track record of making solid suggestions and decisions over time; sought out by others for advice and counsel. • Interpersonal Savvy: Relates well to people inside and outside the organization; is accessible and develops rapport; listens, builds constructive and effective relationships using diplomacy and tact; commands credibility by treating people with respect; trustworthy. • Values: Strong work ethic; straightforward demeanor; maintains highest personal / professional ethics. #### Position Requirements: • Collaborate with Leadership Team at Lenovo as well as third party advisors to develop and execute a marketing vision for the Commercial organization within the company. • Collaborate with internal business units to evolve, customize and deliver on commercial messaging local to NA, EMEA, LATAM and AP. • Develop programs with quantifiable objectives to measure results – KPIs that reflect customer behavior and the value of marketing channels • Test and develop hypotheses regarding how to best market to Lenovo varying customer segments, e.g. Commercial, SMB and e-Comm. • Develop overall digital marketing strategy for engaging with customers in social, digital, e-comm and transactional realms • Perform competitive analysis / market intelligence on competitors and their channel programs Basic Requirements: • 15 + years of experience in marketing roles with progressing levels of responsibility Preferred Experience: • Demonstrated track record of successful strategy development • Industry knowledge and experience • Ability to recruit and build high performing teams • B2B marketing experience with a demonstrated track record of success. • Channel, distribution and technology are a plus. • Fluency in digital marketing program development and management o Email marketing o Direct mail o Paid search / search engine optimization • Marketing measurement and testing disciplines • Understanding of marketing and CRM technology; to and through so that the channel can be enabled and empowered o Marketing and customer databases o Campaign management o Reporting and analysis tools • Business systems integration – marketing, order, fulfillment, follow up • Website/eCommerce strategy and execution • Sales management – setting budgets, revenue goals and quotas • Pricing strategy, promotional development and execution • Follow through with customer and ensure satisfaction • Competitive positioning • Product development We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
