Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will have a significant impact on the continued, and future, success of our US Cardiovascular business. The Executive Director serves as cross functional lead for IDN/KAM Marketing strategy for Repatha and is responsible for setting and executing strategies to maximize brand growth in the IDN channel and the consequent pull through into Cardiology and Primary care channels.
The Executive Director, IDN/KAM Marketing for Cardiovascular (Repatha) is a critical role for Amgen and the CNBU (Cardiometabolic & Nephrology Business Unit). It is complex and will require a commercial executive with healthcare-provider marketing and market-creating capabilities, data and analytical skills, cross-functional and collaboration skills, and influencing skills. Success in this role will result in professional growth and additional career advancement opportunities.
The Executive Director will be a member of the core and cross-functional CNBU Senior Leadership Team and plays a critical role in enabling effective collaboration within the Marketing Organization, the Field, as well as with external business partners and other functional teams across Amgen.
Responsibilities
Drive in-line performance of Repatha, specifically in the IDN channel
Collaborate closely with multiple business partners, just to name a few most critical ones: Value and Access IDN team, ED for KAM (sales), Repatha Brand Lead and the full Repatha x-functional brand team
Develop and deliver on revenue and expense forecast expectations (for specific IDN channel and pull through)
Oversee and lead teams responsible for IDN / KAM marketing
Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for building sustainable partnerships with IDN and other healthcare system partners with a specific focus on provider messages and resources (i.e., speaker programs, protocols etc.) in full partnership with V&A teams
Develop future strategies and innovations for partnerships with healthcare systems (to improve patient outcomes) that will put Amgen in a leadership position in coordination with cross functional partners (V&A team)
Partner with BU GM and CNBU SLT to facilitate engagement initiatives to foster culture and purpose across the CNBU
Create a highly collaborative and effective cross-functional team that works on IDN / KAM marketing and makes sure that there is a very clear prioritized execution in the KAM team (direct IDN sales), in the Primary Care and Cardiology team (for the pull through)
Generate excitement, externally and internally for the partnerships with IDN

Basic Qualifications
Doctorate degree & 6 years of Marketing experience OR
Master’s degree & 10 years of Marketing experience OR
Bachelor’s degree & 12 years of Marketing experience AND
6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum eight years of experience in a series of commercial roles of increasing scope, scale, and complexity, with leading companies in the bio-pharmaceutical or health and wellness industry
Experience developing and implementing innovative commercial strategies, with a focus on healthcare systems, within highly competitive markets where innovation and marketing prowess are a key factor of success
Healthcare Provider marketing, strategic and tactical implementation roles, with an emphasis on uncovering novel and motivating customer insights and executing integrated multi-touch point initiatives to move an apathetic market
Understanding of US market access, pricing, and reimbursement environment. Preferably with a track record in also developing and implementing strategies in these areas.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment; managing projects involving multiple functions and shared accountabilities
Cardiovascular therapeutic area is preferred
Experience working in a partnership or joint venture is desirable
