Executive Housekeeper

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Executive Housekeeper maintains all aspects of the housekeeping department and drives the department’s service culture to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and quality are achieved for our guests. 

With support from an Assistant Executive Housekeeper, Supervisors and HotSOS housekeeping software, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the department, including recruiting, leading and developing housekeeping ambassadors. A key focus of the position is ensuring consistent cleanliness standards apply in the rooms and public areas, by providing hands-on operational assistance to the department and attending to any guest requests or enquiries. 

The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, have attention to detail, experience in leading and managing others and have a passion for giving guests an exceptional experience.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead, train and grow a large team of housekeeping ambassadors
  • Ensure guest expectations are met, delivering a product that exudes luxury and aligns with Sofitel brand standards
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments
  • Promote a strong Heartist culture and a team that is focused on providing unforgettable experiences to our guests

Your experience and skills include:

  • A luxury service focus is essential
  • At least 2 years experience in a senior housekeeping role in a 5 star hotel
  • Excellent communication, customer service and people skills
  • Organisational skills and an ability to effectively plan and prioritise
  • Ability to use rooms software including Opera and HotSOS or similar systems
  • Rostering, budgeting and reporting forecasting and payroll management experience
  • Flexibility to work rotating day or evening shifts including overnights, weekends and public holidays
