Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Manager is responsible for the overall strategizing, planning, coordinating and supervising of the Housekeeping and Linen Room operation to ensure the highest level of service standards of the company and cleanliness of the hotel, especially the guest rooms and linen supply, are met at all times.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
1. Manage the Housekeeping Department & Linen Room efficiently and effectively according to the scope of responsibility and Company’s policies and procedures.
2. Maintain the highest level of service standards and cleanliness of the property are met with the company goals.
3. Ensure daily rooms for VIP, special request & long staying guest are ready for arrivals and room turnaround requirement is met as per company standard.
4. Work closely with Front Office, Engineering, Revenue Management and all other supporting departments to ensure room inventory are maximized daily and liaise for maintenance to upkeep the property.
5. Ensure all Housekeeping and Linen Room OS&E and FF&E items are properly inventoried and monitored.
6. Assist to prepare the departmental budget for the Management to ensure targets and costs are met and controlled effectively.
7. Manage the OPTii Keeper system to be fully utilized in the overall housekeeping operation and control the daily room turnaround time to achieve the department goal.
8. Recruit and select Housekeeping and Linen Room employees and develop based of his/her strength to perform multi-tasking so as to nurture internal resources for future promotion.
9. Supervise closely all the Housekeeping and Linen Room employees’ performance of his/her duties in accordance with the policies and procedures set by the Company and Health & Safety unit.
10. Delegate duties and responsibilities appropriately to potential employees and develop them whilst ensuring standards of operation and safety are maintained.
11. Develop and assist all training activities and focus on improving skills and job knowledge.
12. Monitor employee’s morale and provide mechanisms for performance feedback and development.
13. Conduct annual Performance Appraisal and to provide honest feedback when appropriate.
14. Communicate guiding principles and company’s core values effectively to all levels of employees.
15. Handle guest and employee enquiries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
16. Establish a good rapport and relationship with all levels of employees and various departments.
17. Perform any other functions or duties when required by the Management.
