MORE ABOUT THIS JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Firmwide Strategy Group is looking to create a global presence in London and Hong Kong, in addition to New York. Accordingly, the individual will be a senior regional ambassador across our three priorities (i) Strategy and M&A, (ii) GS Accelerate and (iii) Launch With GS.
The candidate must have experience leading strategic M&A teams through all phases of the deal lifecycle; creating and implementing new business plans and initiatives; and developing strategic and financial models and analyses. Our projects provide exposure to the breadth of activities at a major international financial firm with multiple business lines, including its opportunities and challenges, and frequent interaction with senior divisional and firm leadership. The role provides an opportunity to gain the operational perspective of a principal while also serving as a trusted strategic and financial advisor to key internal clients. It will also be essential for the candidate to be FWS’ key representative of Launch With GS and GS Accelerate in the region; this will require being an ambassador and/or partner on opportunities with the local Fin Tech, Private Equity and Venture Community.
The Firmwide Strategy group has proven to be a gateway to a number of attractive career paths. Past team members have been promoted to senior leadership positions within the group as well as transitioned to investing and management positions inside Goldman Sachs and elsewhere, corporate strategy roles within various industries, and back to traditional investment banking.
