GRADUATE SCHOOL

The Graduate School supports the development of strategic directions and provides central administration for the University’s research efforts and postgraduate education.  We are now looking for a dynamic and dedicated person to perform administration duties for taught postgraduate programmes.

Roles and Responsibilities

• initiate, plan, and implement activities in relation to the Taught Postgraduate Programmes (TPg);
• provide support in the Committee work;
• assist the team head in overseeing the administration of TPg and to conduct continuous review on the appropriateness and timeliness of the policies and guidelines;
• supervise, motivate and provide guidance to the team; and
• carry out ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Applicant should have

• a good Bachelor’s degree, and preferably with a higher qualification;
• preferably 5 years of relevant work experience;
• an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), strong communication and interpersonal skills, good analytical ability and a strong sense of responsibility; and
• proficiency in computer applications particularly in using databases and spreadsheets.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract up to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
