Job Description

DEAN OF STUDENTS OFFICE 

Executive Officer (Ref. 20042102-E2) 

Duties 

The appointee will be required to: 

  1. serve as Secretary to the Dean of Students; 

  1. implement policies and regulations relating to quality assurance of student affairs and development; 

  1. assist in office administration and budget management; 

  1. prepare and compile documents/reports; 

  1. provide secretarial support to committees/meetings; 

  1. liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties on student affairs and development; 

  1. provide support to functions/programmes organized or supported by the Office; and 

  1. perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Students or his/her delegates. 

The appointee may be required to work irregular hours where necessary. 

 

Qualifications 

Applicants should have: 

  1. a recognised degree; 

  1. at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably gained in tertiary education institutions; 

  1. an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably with fluency in Putonghua; 

  1. very good interpersonal and organizational skills and a strong sense of responsibility; and 

  1. good computer literacy. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service 

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
