Executive Officer (Ref. 20081106-E2)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide administrative support for research-related matters, including postgraduate programmes, research postgraduate student administration, research grant applications, and monitoring of research projects;
(b) plan, coordinate and execute research activities and other collaboration initiatives/projects;
(c) assist in editorial work, preparation and production of research brochures and publicity materials;
(d) assist in coordination of visit programmes for overseas visitors and overseas visits for faculty members;
(e) provide secretarial support to committees and working groups;
(f) liaise with internal and external parties; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of the Faculty or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree;
(b) have at least five years of solid post-qualification administrative experience;
(c) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua;
(d) have good computer literacy;
(e) have good liaison, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills;
(f) be highly self-motivated and able to multi-task; and
(g) be able to work independently as well as be a good team player.
Preference will be given to those with relevant experience gained in tertiary institutions and knowledge
of the education sector in Hong Kong.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test and language proficiency test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term
gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should
state their current and expected salary in the application.
