Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

• Attend business meetings with the Project Director (or others as required) and provide simultaneous translation from Mandarin to English and English to Mandarin using appropriate technology (microphone, earpiece)
• Translate contract documents, legal documents, engineering documents, government documents, and email messages as required by the Project Director (or others as required) from Simplified Chinese to English and English to Simplified.
• Provide office administrative support such as office supplies, regular meetings arrangement, and assist project team’s activities
• Supporting team’s international/ domestic travel and logistic arrangement
   
  Proficiency requirements

• ILR Level 5 proficiency in Mandarin
• ILR Level 5 proficiency in English
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
   
  Other requirements
• Must consent to a full background check and employment verification prior to start of work
• Must agree to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Corning, Inc. prior to start of work
• Must agree to sign a Non-Compete Agreement (NCA) with Corning, Inc. prior to start of work
• Must agree to post assignment employment checks to verify NCA compliance prior to start of work
   
  Additional information

• Excellent communication skill, organized, action oriented, able to handle a fast paced environment
• Translation services may at times be required during tours of facilities under construction where wearing Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, hard hat, protective footwear) is mandatory
• Translation services may at times be required at business lunches, business dinners, and business events
• Translation services will frequently be required during international conference calls in addition to in person meetings
