The Core micro-architecture team is looking for outstanding micro-architects / logic design engineers for developing Intel’s next generation processor Core micro-architecture.
The job includes:
- Analyzing the performance bottlenecks of the current generation.
- Developing new HW algorithms and new HW structures for improving the core performance in a power efficient manner. Including Cache system, branch prediction, out-of-order execution, machine learning hardware, and other state-of-the-art processor core algorithms and structures.
- Coding (C++) and evaluating the new algorithms using a cycle-accurate simulator that model the processor core.
- Tuning and improving the algorithms for best performance and power, while meeting timing, area, and complexity restrictions.
- Writing specification documents, and working closely with the design team during the implementation phase of the next generation Core.
Qualifications
Micro architecture and/or logic design experience.
Analytical and creative thinking.
Processor core uarch/logic experience is an advantage.
Electrical Engineering/ Computer Science MSc or PhD is an advantage.
Coding (C++) is an advantage.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
