Key Duties / Responsibilities :

• Responsible for mechanical design review (2D/3D), DFM review, Parts/tooling approval including cosmetic/assembly/reliability tests checking.
• Take in charge of on-site or remote tooling trial shots checking, sample evaluation and validation.
• Work for industrialization team to analyse and solve MP issues for on-going production activities.
• Work with HQ mechanical teams to define/clarify design requirement and acceptance criteria.

Work with suppliers to control the quality of mechanical output including design quality and production quality.

Required domain knowledge:

• 5+ years’ experience in mechanical design or plastic tooling design in consumer electronics industry,
• Strong knowledge of product plastic casing design and injection moulding process,
• strong experience and sense of quality and general acceptance criteria for plastic parts,
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, be good at coordination with different parties,
• Good written & oral English. Writing emails and reviewing reports are must.
• Being able to adapt to frequent travelling for on-site tooling sample validation,
• Experienced in solving injection issues,
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred,
• Familiar with CREO or equivalent 3D CAD software. CREO preferred,
• High sense of responsibilities and good autonomous,
• High sense of professional ethics, strictly respect to company codes of conduct,
