Job Description

With Mercedes-Benz AG and the divisions Mercedes-Benz Cars, Mercedes-Benz Vans and Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest and most successful suppliers of premium passenger cars.

As a department, we act as HR Business Partner for the overseas markets within Mercedes-Benz Mobility and hold a global expert role for development and culture.

We as Development & Culture team support the Mercedes-Benz Mobility (MBM) Board member Human Resources in driving culture initiatives and transformation management, conducting employee surveys, in the fiends of HR communication, potential validation, global learning and development as well as in ensuring a professional executive management and development. We support the HR business partners in Europe, Asia and Americas in terms of global standards for development, learning and culture and hands on in our joint rollout and implementation processes.

We are often involved in strategic international projects, strongly believe in co-creation with our internal customers (cross function, cross market, cross level) and like to apply agile ways of working. Apart from our fellow international expert colleagues within Mercedes-Benz Mobility we also closely collaborate with the relevant expert teams in the Mercedes-Benz HQ.


These challenges await you:

  • Responsibility for conceptualizing and implementing learning and development (L&D) solutions, especially as part of the strategic Mercedes-Benz Mobility initiative “Data Driven Company” (DDC)
  • Participate in the DDC project organization as member of the work package “People & Talents”, relying on the respective collaboration and decision processes
  • Drive the identification, scoping and prioritization of relevant target groups starting with selected roles in Finance & Controlling Germany as pilot
  • Define existing competence levels and learning objectives per target group
  • Conceptualize an integrated L&D approach, building on existing learning solutions and development processes wherever possible and preparing for global and cross-functional scalability of the solutions
  • Prepare and drive required management and project decisions on L&D
  • Support the implementation of the agreed L&D solutions, relying on external providers and internal collaboration partners where possible and required
  • Setup and implement evaluation approach for L&D solutions and support continuous improvement of established learning and culture tools and processes



Other tasks:

  • Ensure requirements of workers council, IT security, Data security and compliance, HR processes and standards are met at all times
  • Therefore, manage a strong collaboration with HR partners and other relevant stakeholders and experts (e.g. IT, High Performance Culture initiative) if needed
  • Ensure alignment with the responsible Mercedes-Benz topic management functions and relevant similar initiatives - identify existing L&D offers and relevant framework conditions within Mercedes-Benz and create transparency on MBM DDC activities
  • Provide guidance and hands-on support to local/regional/functional L&D topic managers and to HR mangers where applicable
  • Responsible for com strategy creation and rollout communication concerning learning offers
  • Maximize the success of learning and development offers by creating communication content and actions and – if required - enablement activities for specific target groups and solutions, taking into account regional and functional needs
  • Shape communication processes from a change management perspective while using available communication channels and internal networks (e.g. collaboration with communication department, Mercedes-Benz central functions, HR Mercedes-Benz Mobility)
