To find out more about us check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E As Expert in Technical Platforms you will be responsible for identifying and assessing PMCC (Power Management & Control Components Division) opportunities to queue ideas with highest business potential. You will be responsible for leading and managing Innovation activities to contribute to PMCC cost-out targets and to meet project objectives. Furthermore, you will be responsible for supporting the Technical Platform team and for developing team members to acquire required competencies for future cost-out activities. The role will fulfil the following primary objectives: Collect potential Innovation ideas together with PMCC product engineering, supply chain and manufacturing engineering Support the EATON business by identifying, evaluating, and ranking most potential ideas to realize quick wins, filling the pipeline using appropriate business valuation models Plan, initiate, and drive winning activities and projects with focus on meeting timelines and specified project deliverables Ensure meeting cost and quality targets in all running Innovation activities Provide input to technology roadmaps, product roadmaps, business strategies and profit / project plans Collaborate with supply chain, PMCC product engineering teams, manufacturing engineering and (PMCC internal or external) innovation teams to perform cost-out activities and projects Manage all strategic project issues like technical, supply chain and manufacturing concerns arising along the project operations Circulate information to Manager Product Development, securing compliance with internal and external standards, and adherence of engineering processes with ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and EHS directive, as well as EBS Take ownership for personal development by creating development plans and following through on developmental actions and commitments Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: Engineer / Bachelor / master’s degree in electromechanical engineering or equivalent education like mechatronics or physics Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of electrical or electromechanical component Strong motivation to work with several Business Lines / Product Lines and across regions Product knowledge and knowledge about product value chain processes Stay abreast of technology trends Experience in different ERP and Data Management systems Capability to drive innovative solutions and to think out of the box Fluent English Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability Desired skills: Knowledge in switchgear design including electronic fuses Strong technical attitude with core competency on electromechanical design German language What we offer to you: Competitive compensation and benefits package Flexible working solutions Culture & Values – We are more than the products we invent and produce – the way we do business is just as important.
