We are looking for Software Developers & Data Scientists for our new 36 month Expert Track within our INspire - the Trucks & Buses Experience Programs!
Are you a Solution Architect or Software Developer with 2 or more years of work experience?
Then kick start your career in the Daimler Trucks & Buses Expert Track and join your first project in the IT eMobility Team Daimler Trucks & Buses. Starting in February 2020 (or later), to design Connectivity Services & Solutions for eVehicles, based on our global Connectivity architecture. Afterwards you will have the opportunity to keep on transforming the future of transportation through highly relevant CASE projects.

A bit about your first project withIN the Expert Track
You will work in an agile and cross-functional environment driving together with us the digital eMobility agenda in an innovative new business field ELECTRIC. In your role as Solution Architect you will design and develop new digital Services & Solutions for the eVehicles of our brands Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks, Freightliner and EvoBus. The design and development of new eServices will take place in close collaboration with other DevOpsSec, Customer Consulting, Charging Solutions, After-Sales, R&D teams in Lisbon, Kawasaki, Portland and Stuttgart. You will also be responsible to design the software architecture of the solution and to ensure that the solution fits seamlessly into our overall IT architecture of Daimler Trucks & Buses. You will drive the definition of function and shaping as well as the implementation with a lot of individual responsibility.
The duration of your first project would be 14 months, after these you will be able to rotate into different projects throughout your 36 months.

About you
You have a degree in Computer Science or a comparable subject, with strong software development and implementation focus.
You have a passion for eMobility and love building new connected eServices from scratch. Ideally, you have experience as product owner in a technical environment, you are proficient in agile methodology/principles and in the latest technologies such as e.g. Grafana, Kibana, Azure, Microservices, Python, Java, .NET, Linux, GitHub, Docker Python, RESTful APIs etc..
You should have good writing and verbal communication skills in English and German.
We also expect excellent communication skills, that you are willing to constantly challenge yourself by learning new approaches and technologies and encourage a culture of mutual learning and collaboration.
You are visionary and always keep the bigger picture and the customer in your mind. Also you have a strong desire to not only execute but to contribute, encourage feedback loops and rapid changes, you value communication and interaction over processes and tools, you thrive in an environment of uncertainty and are eager to create new business and eServices.
