What will you do? The Export Control Classification Specialist will use their in-depth knowledge of ECCN and ECL export classifications in accordance with CA and U.S. export regulations to classify Siemens Products, Technology and Software. Working within the Compliance organization you will have the foundation to develop personally and professionally. Perform validation, determination, and maintenance of ECCN and ECL export classifications in accordance too CA and U.S. export regulations Maintain expertise in export control laws, regulation, embargos, and sanctions applicable to Siemens Products. Drive change across organizations, processes, tools and technologies to increase automation of Trade Compliance in Siemens business flows and operations Prepare, submit, and manage CA and U.S. export permit, advisory opinions / license applications for the permanent and temporary export of hardware, software, and technology in accordance with CA and U.S. government regulations, as well as fulfilment of license conditions as applicable Collaborate with Global colleagues on the implementation, enforcement and controlling of the Siemens Internal Control Program – Export Control Maintain Foreign Trade authorizations in an SAP environment Assist Country Compliance Officer with preparation of documents related to government authority’s official inquiries and audits What will you need to succeed? Advanced knowledge of classification of Products, Technology and Software for export control Advanced knowledge of Foreign Trade module in SAP Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Export Trade Compliance / Export Controls Ability to work with engineers and R&D teams with respect to product classifications Industry knowledge of encryption, security and other technologies subject to export controls Industry knowledge of digitalization/automation/AI Experience working with Microsoft Share Point Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of project management would be an asset Strong drive and resilience with a willingness to take on project ownership and accountability. Excellent technical skills Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to apply analysis results in a global context Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines. Ability to speak English and French would be an asset. Ability to build strong relationships and work with people at all levels across our global organization. About us.
