Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data is required. Familiarity with data analysis and data visualization tools (such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) is a plus As an Export Control and Customs Officer, you will handle import declarations, including preparation, submission, and clearance. You will also ensure compliance with all applicable customs regulations. In your first few weeks in this Export Control and Customs Officer role, you can expect to: Communicate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues Keep abreast of changes in import and export regulations and advise management accordingly You will also determine product-specific Customs and Export Control classification. Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to gather necessary documentation and information Provide training and guidance to other employees on import and export procedures To qualify for the role, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and excellent analytical, data-handling and problem-solving abilities. The following are also required: Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with data analysis and data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc Experience with customs clearance software is a plus.
