Job Description

Main activities

•           Supports the Therapeutic Areas/brands on the design of related external affairs initiative

•           Supports the implementation of the Therapeutic Areas/brands initiatives and aligns this with the Corporate and Therapeutic Areas/Brands External Comms plans

•           Supports the design and implementation of corporate campaigns

•           Engages and manages the relevant stakeholders

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

•            University degree or equivalent with proven relevant experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare sector in similar roles

•            Proven Knowledge  of political environments and policy development, particularly on the Health/pharma sector

•            Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities

•            Ability to understand the decision-making process and to design influence initiatives

•            Ability to influence and impact company’s image and to embody the company’s vision externally (ambassador role)

•            Ability to influence and impact the business on an assertive way, ensuring credibility towards senior management levels in the organization

Desirable

•            Knowledge of product pipelines of the company

•            An understanding of specific issues impacting on AstraZeneca in order to most effectively represent company interests within (inter)national coalitions and organizations
