External Manufacturing Functional Expert – Nashville, TN, Greenville, MS, or Chicago, IL

The External Manufacturing Functional Expert will be the functional Supply Chain lead for the regional external-functional project and work with a variety of local teams and external transport specialist partners in the region to implement a control tower operation within our end-to-end Logistics Network of production locations (Mars and external manufacturing) and markets.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Supply Chain or Business Management preferred
• Substantial experience of Supply Chain processes in the relevant functional areas of Inbound & Outbound logistics and ocean transport and knowledge of relevant business processes
• Previous experience of project management/business change activities would be advantageous.
• Excellent Knowledge on SAP.
• Proficient English language skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to travel frequently – the jobholder should expect to be at the project site 3 days per week for up to 2wks at critical parts of the project

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Provide functional leadership for the regional creation and delivery of Transport Control Tower Project (TCT) for Ocean International Transport in within scope of the Transformation Polaris - Indirect cost reduction & Supply chain Digital Acceleration for Mars Inc.
• This role will support external-category evaluation and implementation of opportunities to contribute to the goal of saving >$20M in 5 years.
• The role will be fundamental to deliver this prize by ensuring the functional and process needs are fully captured in the designed solution and then successfully piloted / deployed across the region.
• Be the key regional supply chain expert as part of a Mars Inc. cross functional team to drive Physical Logistics savings and service improvements. The objective of the TCT project is to ensure that we implement standardized transport processes, find best practice and breakthrough solutions to make our operations more efficient.
