Purpose:

We are a Hong Kong based plastic recycling plant that is seeking an experienced applicant to overseeing the operation of our plastic extrusion and pelletizing plant. Our extrusion line consists of twin screw extruder c/w material blending, screen filtering and pelletizing equipment. Ideally the successful candidate should have a strong experience in this field as well as mechanical maintenance skills. Compensation will be commensurate with experience level. This position is based in Hong Kong and is to be filled as soon as possible.

The successful candidate should possess the following attributes:

• Knowledge of plastic extrusion process and related machinery would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated, pro-active with “hands-on” approach.
• A strong level of mechanical and electrical aptitude is needed.
• Computer literacy would be preferred.
• Team Player.

Duties:

•          Supervise day shift production lines and ensure productivity and quality targets are met.

•          Maintain factory organization and safety practices.

•          Monitor and maintain machine performance and operating conditions such as temperature profiles, speed and pressure settings.

•          Check machinery for wear. Coordinate and perform necessary maintenance.

•          Supervise and delegate work instructions.

•          Understand the entire extrusion process and suggest areas for improvement.

•          Be motivated, trouble shoot and a self-starter. Be able to do what’s necessary to get the job done without waiting on orders.
