As a Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Director, you are responsible for the quality production output of the fab and work with a motivated team to meet market demand in the most efficient and cost effective way, calling upon all supporting functions. As one of the Senior Leaders, you will also be responsible to drive the site mission and enable it to be the benchmark (based on the site mission). This is a key position, supplementing the Fab Director for all operational matters.

Responsibility

• Drive the alignment of manufacturing and equipment management with other site
• Work with Site Leadership Team to define and drive business goals to meet corporate objectives and reinforce positive culture and system throughout the organization
• Drive Fab output and cost. Lead the team, both production and larger fab organization to meet the commitments
• Be the center of Fab to which all activities are focused, give directions for planning, manpower requirements, engineering, and all other resources needed to support manufacturing goals
• Lead production organization comprising self-managed teams, that work on shift and ensure that necessary training and resources are in place
• Lead the equipment team to measure and reduce all process (engineering operation) and equipment variation
• Participate in the budget planning and ensure fab is driving profitability for the company
• Interface with planning to define and expedites input, output plans and long term strategies
• Work closely with Industrial engineering group to develop and enhance tools that simulate production flow, optimizes mix, predict scheduling
• Sets goals and drives metrics to achieve benchmark performance
• Work on continuous productivity increase and workplace improvement
• Participate in workshops, collaborate with network, to maximize manufacturing productivity
• Mentor the manufacturing team, identify and develop the pipeline of potential successors
• Ensure EHSS is maintained throughout the work place
• Build effective communication to synchronize the path in the org. align with the Fab’s mission
• Requirements
• Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Experience in multiple engineering and manufacturing disciplines preferred
• Possess a thorough knowledge of fabrication processes and systems.
• Strong knowledge of planning systems, production flow and processes
• Project management, vendor management, resource allocation and cost control
• Demonstrated track record of strong management and leadership practices
• Executor with High integrity
• Excellent mentor as a team builder and motivator
• Strong commitment in Continuous improvement and workforce development
• Ability to inspire team towards fab goals (safety, cycle time, quality, productivity)
• Ability to provide consultation, influence decisions and identify and resolve critical issues

• Ability to empower teams in driving decisions
• Self-starter who identifies and acknowledges strengths and weaknesses and takes action
