Job Description
As a Process Integration Engineering (PIE) Director, you will be responsible for the management and development of PIE departments, with the objectives of achieved best-in-class performance in Yield, Quality and New Product Introduction. You will be responsible for managing and improving functional area performance by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies and implement best known methods aligned to corporate strategic objectives. You will assist with improving individual capability by conducting performance appraisals with team members to create goals and development plans. You will monitor performance metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities. Other responsibilities include ensuring organizational compliance to company policies and regulations, as well as to departmental procedures, and providing organizational leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active participation in functional teams and projects, as well as mentoring other functional leaders through collaboration and the development of sustainably successful solutions.
Responsibility
- Ensure site is a leader in Safety, Environmental & Quality standards.
- Work with Micron Leadership Team to define and drive business goals to meet corporate objectives.
- Lead PIE team for new technology transfer and drive yield ramp to achieve mature yield on time.
- Define clear goals and strategic initiatives to drive site performance to best-in-class Yield, Quality, New Product Integration, Cost, and Output.
- Work with New Product Integration/Process Engineering/Technology Development/Global Quality and internal stakeholders to meet engineering Sample product qualification timeline.
- Collaborate with Technology Development, Central Teams, other Fabs and external groups to support overall needs and objectives of the Fab.
- Understand and lead efforts to meet the requirements of internal and external customers.
- Collaborate with Central teams and other Fabs to drive for standardization and BKM practices across From End network to enable DRAM Central of Excellence.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Process Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering team in driving preventive and corrective actions for internal and external quality and product issues.
- Develop human resource strategies to attract, retain and reward talents, and effectively deploy them to maximize every individual’s potential.
- Develop performance target and ensure Line of Sight is communicated to individual contributors
- Oversee career development of PIE team through the area leadership and ensure succession plans for all key department positions.
- Requirements
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Science discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects.
- Thorough knowledge of device (DRAM), fab processes, use of Yield Enhancement, Metrology and RDA (Real time Defect Analysis).
- Proven ability to lead in problem solving of device integration issues, able to define and implement key strategies for yield improvement or process tuning that will meet product specifications required by customers.
- Proven ability to set, measure and achieve short and long range goals.
- Facilitate good communication and offer multiple levels of status across a wide spectrum of individual contributors to management
- Demonstrated track record in leadership and strong management practices.
- Demonstrated ability as an excellent mentor, team builder and motivator.
- Demonstrated leadership in the areas of Leadership, Execution, Teamwork, Integrity, Commitment and Continuous Improvement.
- Able to and willing to provide direct feedback to Site Leadership Teams.
- Willing to put in much effort and energy to accommodate rapid changes in requirements.
