CAPACITY MODELING
- Ensure tool capacity is well positioned to meet wafer output requirements at the manufacturing area level
- Ensure accurate capacity model through periodic audits and validation of workstation performance
- Design and/or enhance models as needed in order to provide the right accuracy or functionality
- Responsible for modeling capital asset utilization (CAU), and cycle time using static and dynamic models
- Identify opportunities to minimize capital expenditures and cycle time
- Identify opportunities to maximize effective use of the capital investment or CAU
BENCHMARKING
- Work with OCT and partner Fabs to understand and close the gaps in workstation performance to meet internal benchmark levels
DATA ANALYSIS
- Understand Micron data structure and be able to manipulate, and retrieve data effectively using Structured Query Language
- Understand relational database models and normalization. Be able to create representations of complex real-world data structures
- Analyze raw data through statistical data analysis tools
- Make data driven decisions and recommendations to customer groups through decision analysis tools
SCENARIO PROCESS
- Understand the impact to the Fab driven by output changes through scenario analysis
- Understand the opportunities to minimize capital expenditure for a given scenario, while identifying the timing of the required capital through scenario analysis
- Share the Scenario changes with areas and involve the area stakeholders in the strategic decision making process
- Understand individual area’s Entitled Cycle Time (ECT) and CAU numbers for a given scenario
CAPITAL PROCESS
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate submit dates, lead times and ADCS pricing information in MICAP
- Keep capacity model accurate through MICAP events, most current delivery, Qual and Req.In-Service dates for approved capital
- Provide sufficient justification for a capital request to all the stakeholders and site leadership team during the monthly capital process
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Convert all planning related assumptions and models into Primavera projects with planning need dates
- Drive cross functional teams to define scope and project requirements for capacity issues
- Lead discussions with key stakeholders and re-adjust the capacity strategy based on the progress of the projects
Education
- Bachelors or Masters is desired.
