Position Description:
Finance Manager fulfills the role of controller and will be responsible for all managerial accounting therein. This includes, but is not limited to: monthly account reconciliation, payroll administration, control of deposits for distribution of commissions, inventory management, production of a monthly general ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, End-of-Year reconciliation,
The Finance Manager will oversee and delegate certain transactional accounting responsibilities to the Office Administrator.
Core Responsibilities
•Member of Executive Committee.
•Provide strategic financial direction to the General Manager and Board of Managers.
•Prepare and present, together with the General Manager, monthly/quarterly operating reports to various stakeholders and management team
•Work with company leadership team to set goals and drive toward execution of those goals; quickly establish relationships with business unit leaders and department heads.
•Re-engineer processes and integrate systems to enhance efficiency and timeliness of monthly financial reporting.
•Critically evaluate and analyze all cost allocation methodologies and processes.
•Develop standard operating policies and procedures for all accounting, procurement, marketing administration and corporate staff.
•Critically evaluate all contracts and others policies.
•Identify and implement value-creation initiatives across all business units and departments.
•Cash Flow Management, Finance Manager will produce weekly cash flow position reports and 13-week rolling forecasts in order to identify potential shortfalls and plan accordingly. Finance Manager will perform evaluation of short and long-term financing options and present them when necessary.
•Budgets, Create annual operating budgets and track the company’s performance to the forecast with monthly reports.
•Capital Expenditure Planning, Coordinate with Sales, Production, Design, and Procurement teams to determine resource requirements to meet growth projections.
•Taxes, Serve as the primary liaison to the Accountant for local and Central tax filings.
•Human Resources. Together with the Office Administrator and Senior Management, identify and interview candidates for open positions, and maintain HR records.
•Perform other financial duties as required
Experience/Requirement:
•B.A. or B.S. in Accounting or Finance required; CPA, CMA, CAM or MBA preferred.
•Minimum 5 years of experience as Finance Manager/ Finance officer of complex,
multidimensional corporate organization is required.
•Demonstrated success managing through complex, multi-entity financial, accounting and legal
issues.
•Private equity and/or turnaround experience is desirable.
•Proactive identification of cost saving opportunities.
•Strong strategic thinker with ability to apply broad background and experiences to a new
situation.
•High-energy, self-starter who operates with a sense of urgency to implement change.
•Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize value-added activities.
•Expertise in oversight of monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external financial reporting
and financial planning, analysis and measurement, banking and cash management.
•Has had big-company experience but must be a “hands-on” Financial Manager with attention
to detail.
