Eaton’s Filtration Division is currently seeking an FP&A Commercial Finance Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid position based out of our Chanhassen, MN location. Position Overview: The FP&A Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial leadership in reporting and analysis of monthly results, forecasts and profit plans for the global Filtration Division with seven (7) primary manufacturing locations globally. This role also analyzes sales, plant financial information, operational and financial data/metrics. The FPA Commercial Finance Manager is responsible for accounting, forecasting, and planning the Division Headquarters and US Operations related expenses. Also, includes driving global accounts receivable collection efforts and best practices. This position will operate as a key partner to the division and sales leadership teams and will directly supervise a team of three (3) employees. In this function you will: Prepare consolidated commentary and variance analysis for monthly, quarterly and annual forecast requirements. Prepare multiple reporting requests and provide analyses as required including monthly commentary package. Support the consolidated monthly closing processes. Ensure the integrity of the financial statements. Provide month end accounting support including balance sheet reconciliations. Lead the annual profit planning process and contribute to the strategic planning process including coordination with regional leaders, controllers and staff. Prepare schedules, provide direction, and set expectations on behalf of global Division finance. Provide leadership to the credit operations for the NAFTA region. Lead global efforts to develop strategies and process improvements to improve A/R metrics. Support functional business partners by providing analysis to quote new business, cost modeling, preparation of financials in growth capital appropriation requests, etc. Manage team that performs in-depth financial support for the following NA commercial operations: Fitzgerald distribution, refinery projects team, import sales, and rental units. Prepare sales and orders reporting for the sales team as required for monthly submissions, business reviews, and ad-hoc request Continuously re-assesses the organization’s skills, competencies and abilities to meet the business needs and drive results. Effectively leverage functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives. Perform special analyses to support strategic business decision making – this can include financial analysis in support of capital investments, changing business models, pricing models, make vs buy, etc. Provide leadership to the division in recruiting and developing top finance talent. Creates, promotes and sustains a performance culture. Continuously raises the performance bar for the finance organization. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in in business, accounting, or finance from accredited institution. Ten plus (10+) years of finance/accounting experience within manufacturing organizations. Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a manager of people. Working knowledge of sourcing and manufacturing practices followed by Operations personnel. Ability to operate across, and influence within, a complex matrixed global organizational structure. Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Chanhassen, MN will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: MBA or CPA. Six (6) years of experience as a manager of people. International experience across financial disciplines, ie., tax strategies, transfer pricing, currency hedging, statutory reporting, legal entity implications, etc. Experience of best practice implementation/end to end process improvement in accounting and finance.
