Intel's Programmable Solutions Group is seeking a software developer to join our High Level Design group. The HLD group builds cutting-edge technology that enables our customers to use programming languages and APIs like C++ and OpenCL to program FPGA accelerators that can tackle massively parallel and low-latency problems.

We're looking for a new team member who can work with us to build software that helps developers optimize their code. You'll be interacting deeply with our software and hardware platform, building tools to help measure, analyze, predict, and visualize how code is compiled and synthesized into hardware.

The ideal candidate has foundation in computer science or engineering, is adaptable, and is excited to learn new things.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Developing software in C++, Python, Typescript, OpenCL, SYCL, and other programming languages.

  • Interacting with users and customer representatives and gathering feedback and requirements.

  • Designing and conducting experiments to measure tool performance and usability, and analyzing results.

Qualifications

You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum requirements:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.

Minimum of 3+ months of experience in:

  • C++ and/or Python, Typescript, or ECMAscript.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software and/or hardware performance optimization.

  • OpenCL, CUDA, or other heterogeneous or parallel compute frameworks.

  • LLVM.

  • Data visualization.

  • Digital design and RTL development.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
