Within our business division electronics, you are key to tomorrows product safety. Located in China, Shanghai, you lead and coach a team of safety managers assessing products along the mega trends in automotive.

YOUR TASKS

• You analyze the impact of ISO26262 releases for different safety classifications and processes and create Functional Safety awareness across D&D departments.
• Performing safety management activities according to relevant standards during all project phases (concept, product development, production) including preliminary hazard analysis, DFMEA, FMEDA, DFA, qualitative and quantitative fault tree analysis.
• You act as Functional Safety Manager for HELLA products, allocating safety requirements to the system, subsystems and component levels in our product portfolio.
• Moreover, you support with reviews and coaching in the product teams to ensure that safety standards are being met in the product development life cycles.
• Developing safety architectures and safety plans to ensure compliance with ISO26262 as well as lead and coordinate the creation of functional safety documentation according to ISO26262.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering degree with an industrial, electromechanical or physical focus
• Thorough knowledge and experience in at least one expert field (electronics, embedded software or system engineering)
• Substantial work experience in product development, ideally in automotive safety related products as a Safety Manager/Assessor
• Experience in complex safety architecture ASIL A-D including mechanical Safety
• Good risk management skills, weighting development effort against added value and safety against availability
• Strong decision maker when subjected to limited information, to be translated into assumptions to be verified
• Experience as coach, trainer or moderator
• Fluent in spoken and written English
