Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Industrial Labware Supervisor, welds plastic parts according to work orders, sketches and drawings. Performs various assembly tasks on Biotanks, industrial and laboratory products.

Responsibilities:

• Welds or assembles fittings onto products as indicated by work orders, sketches, drawings, specific direction, or shop packets using various hand and power tools.
• Checks welds to see that proper bond is attained and that finished items is per specifications.
• Trims or finishes parts or products so that parts fit properly and that sharp edges, burrs, etc. have been removed.
• Package finished products for shipment and maintains necessary production records.
• Assists in cutting and layout of fabrication jobs as necessary.
• Drills, welds, assembles, and packs Biotanks.
• Maintains production records for Biotanks.
• Observes safety rules for self and others.
• Performs other duties and tasks as directed by the Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience and mechanical ability with power and hand tools required.
• Good math skills (metric and decimal) and blue print reading required.
• Knowledge of visual inspection requirements.
• Knowledge of ISO / FDA /GMP procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 35 Lbs.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.
