Responsibilities

  • Role of a fabric sourcing assistant manager is to understand the concept of a value retailing brand based in Middle East, India & South East Asia and source fabric according to the business needs.

  • Responsible to nominate and manage fabric mills in China for standard fabric qualities garmenting in China, Bangladesh, Vietnam and India. Save 2% on the total cost of the product by fabric standardization and nomination.

  • Individual should have the technical knowledge to analyze and understand the details of a fabric and work with suitable fabric mills to develop, negotiate price and source the bulk fabric.

  • Work with designers in Head Quarters to understand fabric trends for every season and source similar qualities from fabric markets/mills in different parts of China.

Participate in fabric fairs like Intertextile, Keqiao Textile Expo and Canton fair to find new fabric suppliers to develop/source fabric qualities for spring, summer and winter season.

. Others:

Travel to all knit, woven & denim fabric mills in China to evaluate their strength and potential.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive fabric sourcing, development & production experience. Value retail experience is preferred.
