Position Overview: The Fabrication Assistant is responsible for assisting our machine operators in the sheet metal fabrication department. Primarily responsible for preparing laser cut parts for bending by utilizing a shake table and hand tools such as a grinder to help deburr parts. Some material handling may be required to stage parts for the next machine. In this function you will: Shake laser cut parts free from sheet metal via shake table Deburr parts by using appropriate hand tools (Grinder, Sander, etc.) Stage material in fabrication area to minimize operator time wasted when searching for parts Assist machine operators with complex or two person bends for our larger parts Responsible for initial quality checks on machined parts Qualifications Required Qualifications: Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Position Criteria: Position is physically demanding and requires individuals to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
