The French International School of Hong Kong is seeking a motivated and energetic professional for the position of Facilities Director to join the Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the future development and ongoing maintenance of four campuses across Hong Kong and will play a
crucial role in creating a vision for the school facilities in collaboration with the pedagogical team and the Board of Directors. Reporting on a functional basis to the Head of School, the successful candidate will lead a team to deliver the strategic vision for the school’s facilities, ensure maintenance and security
operations are effective and guarantee compliance of the campuses with the relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a vision for the development and maintenance of the campuses in collaboration with the key users
• Implement the vision on a project basis with a particular focus on standardizing processes and documentation
• Develop a thorough maintenance & safety program which is cost effective and can be quickly and simply verified by any stakeholder
• Deploy the departmental staff for the best results
• Provide oversight for the School’s current safety procedure and continue to develop it on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:

• Project management experience - in particular managing complex programs with multiple parties and ensuring a rigorous attention to budget and delivery quality
• Ability to develop and manage contracting procedures for a variety of third parties (architects, technical consultants, general contractors etc.)
• Skills to systemize and simplify recurring procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Cantonese would be an advantage.
• Ability to effectively communicate with different levels of stakeholders from Board Members and parents to employees, contractors, and workers
• Knowledge of a leading project management software package would be advantageous

Conditions:

• 39 hours per week
• Entitled to 5 weeks of annual leave per year
