As a Facilities Electrical Technician your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of all the electrical distribution systems and will require working on other disciplines.
  • Work from drawings, schematics, and other documentation.
  • Conduct daily rounds and readings.
  • Work closely with Engineering to establish total predictive maintenance procedures and cost models.
  • Provide guidance to lower level nonexempt (this could be interpreted as discriminatory) employees, and design support to Engineering.
  • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on standard assignments.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate records, and prepare necessary reports.
  • Willing to work a compressed work-week schedule. Shift 7: (days backend) AM-PM Thurs-Sat and alternating Wednesday days.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess at least one of the following:

  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree and 3+ years of experience within all aspects of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities equipment and systems.
  • Military with 5+ years of experience in all aspects of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities equipment and systems.
  • Journeyman Electrician License (not required in Arizona)
  • 8+ years of field experience within all aspects of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities equipment and systems will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience with commissioning and maintenance requirements of electrical facility systems, such as electrical distribution (up to 15 KV), including emergency generators, switchgear, service entrance station, substation, uninterrupted power system, medium and low voltage breakers, motors, motor control centers, drives, and starters.
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC70), Recommended Practice for Electrical Equipment. Maintenance (NFPA 70B), and Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA 70E).
  • Skills to read one-line electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Expertise to recognize system and equipment deficiencies and take corrective action.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Mechanical, water purification, industrial waste facility systems.
    • Field instrumentation (i.e. flow and level transmitters, control valves, etc.).
    • Facilities control systems infrastructure, operations, design, and commissioning.
