As a Facilities Fire Protection Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Own safety, quality, and cost-effective operation of maintaining facilities equipment
- Act as Project Engineering Support for large Progressive Build projects
- Own the POR Documentation in alignment with TD Project Engineering and TD Innovation team
- Engage at Tier 1/Tier 2, sub-team leadership
- Mentor/Train/Develop of System Owners in Sustaining Operations and Project support
- Act as escalation Resource for Operations team
- Partner with TD Innovation team, provide input into Innovation roadmaps
- Drive Cost/Quality improvement projects for Operations
- Own Technology Transfer Requirements
- Own operation excellence and lead VF in quality of our core data - FASTR, Pipeflo, Maximo, POR doc
- Lead VF in Quality and Reliability performance while driving down interrupts to production
- Drive standardization of operating process, procedures and data content through CSETs
- Oversight of repairs, maintenance, design, installation, testing, and commissioning of fire suppression systems.
- Responsible for Safety Shower (SSH)
- Support installation, relocation, etc to accommodate project need.
- Help serve as the site risk management liaison:
- Oversight of campus property insurance program.
- Assist with non-standard work with regards to fire and life safety risks.
- Manage of program to limit on-site fire risk.
- Administrate building and fire code.
- Coordinate with the local authority having jurisdiction.
- Sustain small project issues.
- Perform fire code compliance for chemical storage.
- Report hazardous materials.
- Assist with non-electrical hot work and fire systems impairment programs.
- Assist with the site firewall maintenance program.
- Drive system performance and efficiency improvements

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must have at least one of the following
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering or closely related field plus 3+ years of experience.
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering or closely related field plus 2+ years of experience.
Experience mentioned above should be in in facilities and/or maintenance operations, system engineering, and design/construction of mechanical systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- EIT/FE
- PE in OR - or ability to acquire within 6 months
- 1+ years of basic knowledge of hazardous materials evaluation and related code requirements.
- 1+ years of experience in:
- Building construction.
- International Building and Fire Codes, NFPA Standards, and FM Data Sheets.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
