Job Description

This role is focused on working with Intel's equipment suppliers and ensuring facility systems can support the factory in a safe, environmentally responsible, and cost-effective manner. Also, the selected candidate will work with our internal tool design teams and our external tool suppliers to manage the flow of information between teams, develop plans to close gaps, and ensure we can meet all equipment schedules and local jurisdiction requirements.

This is a unique position within the supply chain focused on the readiness of our supplier's equipment to be installed safely and cost-effectively. This position has the opportunity for continued growth in scope and will interact with our construction, development, and supply chain organizations.

This role focuses on the upcoming factory ramps and unique tool designs across all manufacturing organizations. This role will expand to include the development of new strategies and systems to reduce infrastructure costs. We are growing, Our focus is now and the future is imminent.

As the Facilities Infrastructure Supply Chain Engineer, you will be responsible for but

not limited to: 

  • Exploring and benchmarking emerging technologies in the industry and contributing to future technology definitions and requirements.

  • Defining the technical requirements for supplier selection.

  • Working with suppliers to define the raw materials and materials manufacturing process flow to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield, and manufacturability requirements.

  • Driving supplier process window validation activities on critical process modules throughout stages of development.

  • Developing solutions and strategies to resolve a wide range of difficult and complex problems.

  • Providing technical support during material transfers for factory start-ups.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. *This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM-related field of study with 3+ years of experience.

  • Master's degree in Engineering or STEM-related field of study with 1.5+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Semiconductor industry experience.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of technical design processes.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
