Job Description
Eaton’s Vehicle Group, Royal Power Solutions business a is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Carol Stream, IL facility. Position Overview: The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance for facilities, including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical trades work. They will also ensure the facility is available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. In this function you will: Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures. Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replaces filters; identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to supervisor. Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to supervisor. Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required. Performs custodial tasks. Assists with structural pest control measures. Maintains records and logs of daily activities. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Prior experience working in basic facilities maintenance. Preferred Qualifications: Any combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
