Lead Fire Protection System improvement projects under the guidance of the BMW Fire Protection System Specialist. This activity will provide the opportunity to gain exposure and experience planning and executing projects in a complex manufacturing environment.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

• Support BMW Fire Protection System Specialist in execution of project objectives.  Implement efficient process for developing approved Fire Protection System hydraulic calculations including installation of necessary design placards. Lead project activities to assure project timing is achieved. Demonstrate increased familiarity with BMW project management systems, tools and requirements.
• Steer the process to obtain Fire Protection System hydraulic calculations including placard production and installation.
• Resolve issue of spare sprinkler head availability in riser cabinets.

• Civil, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering; Construction Management
• Detail-oriented and strong organization skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Motivated team member who can work well independently and in teams
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
• Have full-time status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week).
• Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
• MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT. 
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.  
• THE WORK TERM DATES ARE (January 3,2022 - May 6,2022).
